Pavlov the Dog needs a home
Pavlov is very sweet and really enjoys the company of people. He is a large dog with a gorgeous multi-colored coat. He is also a smart boy, and once he catches on to what you're asking he loves to do training. Pavlov has shown a little anxiety and restlessness here at the Sanctuary, but his caregivers believe that will fade once he is settled in a home.Born in 2014, Pavlov came to the Sanctuary from a Best Friends Network Partner shelter, where he lived with four other dogs. However, at Dogtown, he has struggled when meeting dogs. He has shown some aggression toward them and may need to be the only dog in a home. He is currently doing some training to reduce his reactivity when he sees another dog close by. His caregivers are also trying to help him build his confidence around other dogs. Because he's a bit insecure, he often feels that he needs to jump on the other dog to defend himself. At Dogtown, he is working hard on basic training and also on muzzle training so that he can meet other dogs safely. So far, Pavlov is doing really well and is catching on quickly. If you are looking for a big, sweet, affectionate dog, Pavlov may be your boy.
